A New Chapter Begins
Luka Modrić, the legendary Croatian midfielder, will join AC Milan after ending his spell at Real Madrid this summer.

The 39-year-old confirmed his move after Madrid’s Club World Cup campaign.
He will sign a one-year deal with Milan, with the option to extend for another season.
A Glorious Real Madrid Legacy Ends
Modrić leaves behind one of the most decorated careers in Real Madrid history.
In 13 seasons with the Spanish giants, he won:
🏆 6 UEFA Champions League titles
🥇 28 major trophies
👑 Ballon d’Or (2018)
🧠 Countless midfield masterclasses
He also became the oldest goalscorer in Real Madrid’s modern era.

Why AC Milan?
AC Milan’s head coach Massimiliano Allegri confirmed the signing, calling Modrić “a leader and symbol of professionalism.”
Milan, who finished 8th in Serie A last season, are rebuilding their midfield.
With no European football in 2025–26, Allegri is focusing on experience and mentality.

Leadership Role in Milan’s Midfield
Modrić joins a squad with several rising stars:
🇺🇸 Christian Pulisic
🇵🇹 Rafael Leão
🇺🇸 Yunus Musah
🇮🇹 Samuele Ricci (recent signing from Torino)
His role will be both as a starter and a mentor.
He’s expected to provide guidance, composure, and creativity — qualities Milan missed last season.

What’s Left for Modrić?
Despite turning 39, Modrić shows no signs of slowing.
In his final season at Madrid, he played 57 matches, scoring 4 goals and assisting 9.
He’s also keen on making one last push for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with Croatia.
This AC Milan move is a chance to stay fit, competitive, and ready for international duty.
