Bonmatí Magic Sends Spain to First-Ever Women’s Euro Final

Spain are through to their first UEFA Women’s Euro final.

Aitana Bonmatí’s brilliant goal in the 113th minute sealed a hard-fought 1–0 win over Germany in jurich on Wednesday night.
The match was tense, tactical, and physical, a true battle between two powerhouses of European football.

Germany had the experience. Spain had the momentum. And when it mattered most, Bonmatí delivered.
“I feel so proud. We deserved this,” Bonmatí said after the match.We had a hard fight tonight, of course, because we were playing Germany. First to beat Germany and then to advance to the final of the Euros, who could ask for more?”

Germany Held Scoreless Despite Dominance

Without the retired Alexandra Popp, Germany lacked a cutting edge up front. They stayed compact and created chances through Lea Schüller, but couldn’t find the net.
In extra time, Spain found their moment. Salma Paralluelo slipped a pass to Aitana Bonmatí, who curled in the winner in the 113th minute.
For the second straight Euros, Germany’s run ended in the semi-finals.
