Amorim Draws the Line: No Cheap Exits for Sancho, Garnacho and Co

United’s Wantaways Hit a Wall
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has made his stance clear.
The players who want to leave will not walk away cheaply.
Unless clubs meet United’s asking price, stars like Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, and Tyrell Malacia will stay and fight for their spots.

Sancho, Garnacho, Antony, and Malacia sitting in the empty seats of Old Trafford amid transfer uncertainty during summer 2025.
Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, and Tyrell Malacia sit alone in the empty stands of Old Trafford, as uncertainty looms over their Manchester United futures.

Amorim isn’t cutting deals. He’s setting terms.
“If clubs don’t meet our valuation, they remain Manchester United players.” He didn’t flinch. He didn’t leave space for doubt.
The message: United won’t be bullied in the market.
These players may want to leave, but Amorim holds the cards.

Four Names, One Message
Each player’s situation is different,  but the outcome could be the same.
Sancho: Frozen out last season, still on high wages.
Garnacho: A hot prospect, attracting interest from Chelsea and Napoli.
Antony: Returned from loan, yet to fully convince.
Malacia: Recovering from injury, drawing interest from Celtic.
All four have trained separately from the first team.
But Amorim says if no deal comes, they’ll be reintegrated.

No Bargain Sales on Amorim’s Watch
United are aiming to raise over £120 million through transfers.
But Amorim refuses to rush or sell cheap.
“We have space. If they stay, they’ll train, compete, and play.”
This is a sharp shift from past seasons. Under Erik ten Hag, out-of-favour players were frozen out.
Under Amorim, they might be given a second chance, if they accept the challenge.

Clubs Interested, But No One Has Matched the Price
Plenty of teams are watching. But no club has made a serious move.
Garnacho’s price tag is above £40 million.
Sancho has interest from Juventus, but wages are a problem.
Antony has suitors in Europe and Saudi Arabia.
Malacia could leave for a small fee, but fitness remains an issue.
For now, they’re stuck and United won’t budge.

A Clear Line from the New Boss
This moment matters.
Amorim is building authority. He’s not just coaching, he’s controlling the culture.
He’s shown players they’ll get a shot. But only if they respect the rules.
They won’t leave on their own terms.
They’ll stay or be sold at full price.
“We are not desperate,” Amorim said. “We are Manchester United.”

From Outcasts to Options?
Things can still change. One big bid could reopen the door.
But if no one comes calling, the so-called “bomb squad” may become bench options, or even starters.
United fans may yet see Sancho cutting inside again.
Or Garnacho exploding down the left.

For now, Amorim holds firm.
And the message is loud: no price drop, no exits.
