India secured another podium finish at the Archery World Cup Stage 4 in Madrid, as Jyothi Surekha Vennam and Rishabh Yadav teamed up to win bronze in the compound mixed team event on Friday.

Commanding Comeback in Bronze Playoff

After narrowly missing out on a place in the final, the Indian duo bounced back strongly in the bronze medal match. They held their nerve against stiff competition to seal a close 156-153 win, ensuring India didn’t leave empty-handed in the event.

The match was a test of composure, and Jyothi and Rishabh showed great coordination and focus in the final two ends to edge ahead.

Another Medal for Jyothi’s Growing Legacy

For Jyothi Surekha Vennam, this bronze adds to her rich medal haul in 2024–25. Already considered one of India’s finest compound archers, her consistency has become a backbone of India’s mixed and women’s team events.

This medal also boosts her confidence ahead of the individual and women’s team events later in the weekend.
