Hulk Hogan addresses a roaring WWE crowd, unleashing one of his iconic promos that defined the Hulkamania era.

The Day Hulkamania Stopped
Hulk Hogan suffered a cardiac arrest at his Clearwater, Florida home.
Emergency teams arrived within minutes. They tried CPR for over half an hour.
But at 11:17 a.m., doctors at Morton Plant Hospital declared him dead.
The wrestling world stood still.
The man who once told the world to train, say your prayers, and eat your vitamins — was gone.

He Didn’t Just Wrestle, He Ruled
He was the face of professional wrestling’s boom in the 1980s. He headlined the first WrestleMania in 1985. He turned WWE into a pop-culture juggernaut.
With his trademark handlebar mustache and red-and-yellow gear, he created a global persona.
His catchphrase, “Whatcha gonna do, brother?”, became part of history.

Icons Remember Their Idol
The reactions came fast.
The Rock wrote: “Without Hogan, there’s no me.”
Ric Flair called him “the biggest draw the business ever saw.”
Triple H added: “He was larger than life — and still is.”
Even US Presidents, Bollywood actors, and NFL players joined the chorus.
Hogan was a global brand, not just a ring name.

Not Just a Wrestler, A Cultural Shift
Hogan made wrestling cool.
He was the first to appear on The Tonight Show, on cereal boxes, in cartoons.
He sold out Madison Square Garden, Tokyo Dome, and Wembley.
Kids wore his T-shirts. Grown-ups mimicked his promos.
He turned leg drops into finishing moves and finishing moves into stadium eruptions.

Hogan didn’t just dominate wrestling.
He changed it. He gave it mainstream power. He showed the world what sports entertainment could be.
And now, even in death, Hulkamania refuses to fade.
