India’s archery stars Rishabh Yadav and Jyothi Surekha Vennam created history at the 2025 Archery World Cup Stage 4 by setting a new compound mixed team world record.

🎯 A Record-Breaking Performance
The Indian duo scored a combined total of 1,431 points with 70 Xs, breaking the previous world record of 1,429 set by Denmark’s Tanja Gellenthien and Mathias Fullerton at the 2023 European Games.
Rishabh and Jyothi now hold the highest-ever qualification score in mixed compound team archery.
This record was set during the qualification round in Madrid.
Rishabh Yadav’s Career-Best Show
22-year-old Rishabh Yadav delivered a sensational individual performance as well:
He shot 716 points, just one shy of the individual world record.
His round included 68 out of 72 arrows in the 10-ring, with 35 Xs.
It was his personal best at a World Cup event.
“It’s special because the mixed team is newly added to the Olympics. We both shot well, and we’re happy with the consistency,” said Rishabh.
Jyothi Surekha Vennam at Her Best
Asian Games champion Jyothi Surekha Vennam matched her personal best by scoring 715 points, earning the top seed in the women’s compound category.
Her experience and precision played a key role in setting the record.
Jyothi continues to be India’s most consistent performer in compound archery.

India’s Golden Pair in Compound Archery
This isn’t the first time Rishabh and Jyothi have made headlines together:
The pair won gold earlier this year at the World Cup in Florida.
Their coordination and rhythm make them one of the top mixed compound teams in the world.
With mixed compound team archery now part of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics, this performance is a strong statement of intent from India.
What’s Next?
The Indian duo now heads into the elimination rounds as top seeds.
All eyes will be on them as they aim for another gold in Madrid.
